Internet of Things (IoT)
The network of physical objects—"things"—that contain technology (sensors, software) to connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the internet.

IoT bridges the digital and physical worlds, allowing for real-time monitoring and control of physical assets (factories, cars, homes).
IoT is usually the weakest link in security. We treat every IoT device as compromised by default. They should live on isolated network segments (VLANs), never touch the corporate LAN, and have strictly limited outgoing connectivity. "Smart" devices are often dumb security risks.
