The process of moving knowledge from one part of the organization to another (e.g., from Development to Operations, or from a vendor to a client).

Failed knowledge transfer is the primary reason for failure after the "consultants leave the building."

Knowledge Transfer shouldn't be a "presentation" at the end of a project. It should be Pair Programming. If we are building something for you, sit with us while we code it. By the time we leave, your hands should already be on the keyboard. Learning by doing beats learning by listening.
