Target Architecture
The description of the future state of the architecture being developed for an organization. It contrasts with the Baseline (Current) Architecture.

Technical Debt
The implied cost of additional rewrite caused by choosing an easy (limited) solution now instead of using a better approach that would take longer.

An activity to verify that a configuration item, IT service, process, etc., meets its specification or requirements.

A controlled environment used for testing configuration items, services, Processes, etc.

A stakeholder external to the service provider organization.

A measure of the amount of work performed by a system during a given period of time.

Something that helps you do a specific task. In IT, software used to perform IT management activities.

Top-Level Domain (TLD)
A Top-Level Domain (TLD) is the highest level of the hierarchical Domain Name System of the Internet, represented by the segment of a domain name that follows the final dot. TLDs are managed by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) and are categorized primarily into generic TLDs (gTLDs), such as .com and .org, and country-code TLDs (ccTLDs), such as .fr and .de.

Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
A comprehensive financial estimate intended to help owners determine the direct and indirect costs of a product or system. It includes acquisition costs + operating costs + support costs + disposal costs.

A discrete unit of work, involving one or more configuration items, which changes the state of a system.

Transition
A change of state, corresponding to a movement of a service or other configuration item from one lifecycle status to another.

The general direction in which something is developing or changing.
